Weeknotes #2 (November 16, 2024)

Things I found, read, did, and produced this past week.
- I decided to make some new views to all my posts, on the main listing page at the top, you will see a listing of each year so you can see all posts say that were published in a given year:
- Evan You (Vue creator) posted on Twitter a current issue with Google's AI summaries that it seems to not have any biases when choosing sources which can result in outdated information: https://twitter.com/youyuxi/status/1855600355847078172
- I wrote about Apple Intelligence's Contextual Awareness functionality: The True Killer Feature of Apple Intelligence: Personal and Contextual Knowledge
- Apple AI Notification Summaries: They sure are something. That said if they stay a situation of "let me show you this funny summary" rather than them being actually beneficial, I don't know for how long I will actually keep them enabled.
- GitHub Removes Malicious PRs Targeting Open Source Repositories: Honestly curious why GitHub doesn't have any detection algorithms to just ban / shadowban the user for posting stuff like this.
- I decided to finally enable Tailscale's HTTPS mode on my network such that browsers would have a SSL cert to trust even though Tailscale by default is end to end encrypted over https inheritly. I have been going through my various apps of enabling this in my homelab, and the only things remaining is all of the apps on a Docker Desktop node.
