Weeknotes #29 (May 24, 2025)

Things I found, read, did, and produced this past week.
Things I worked on
- I continued down the path on working on developing screens for my TRMNL display. I requested a feature for the self-hosted Terminus server to be able to upload PNGs of screens via the API, and within the day of the request it was implemented. This allows me to develop screens with tools like their Design System and then screenshot the webpage with Playwright and send the final artifact up to the server to be then polled from my displays.
Things I consumed
- I completed Expedition 33 this past week and I really appreciated the depth of the game from a new studio and the quality of life aspects compared to your standard turn-based RPGs.
- Both Google and Microsoft had their yearly developer conferences this week. The main focus as expected was their AI offerings which slowly approaching actual products rather than just new models, but we still are early on.
