Things I found, read, did, and produced this past week.

Things I worked on

• My Weeknotes landing page got an update where I am now grouping them by year and collapsing all previous years but the current one by default.
• I've been tinkering around with Cursor for the past week. I don't know yet if I want to move all of my projects to using it as I still do appreciate sometimes having a separation of not having AI autocomplete on all the time, and having VS Code also around is a good case for that. On that note using Cursor's tab autocomplete, I found a fun edge case of Cursor trying to autocomplete against an old API endpoint.

Things I consumed

• Andrew Nesbitt has been on a roll with the various blogposts he has been putting up this December around package manager ecosystems. Some fun ones include:
  • Cursed Bundler: Using go get to install Ruby Gems
  • Package managers keep using git as a database, it never works out
  • Package Registries Are Governance Providers
• One of my friends got me the game The Farmer Was Replaced as a christmas gift. It is a fun incremental game that is powered by you writing python-like scripts to direct a drone to farm crops.
