Weeknotes #7 (December 21, 2024)

Things I found, read, did, and produced this past week.
Things I consumed
- Cassidy Williams wrote as part of her Blogvent series (daily blogging in December), that It would be cool for 2024 to just calm down. I agree with said sentiment and further, now that I am on vacation till the end of the year, I am going to try to personally see if I can take some time to just relax and not keep pushing forward with the productivity train whether it is for work or personal projects.
- As part of OpenAI's 12 days of OpenAI, they fully released ChatGPT Search to all users. I think this is a good step forward of actually listing sites and references to data for ChatGPT, but it being a separate portion of the app rather than sources being on all ChatGPT conversations I feel does limit its capability.
- I finished reading Brave New World, which for a book that is from the 1930s I feel had a very stark warning about the future and is a very interesting read to go through again as an adult. I read it back in school but to read it again now was definitely a fun & thought provoking time.
- I started rereading Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys after watching the Netflix Adaptation of his manga Pluto earlier this year.
